2016 - 2019

TH!NK FC ( origianally the hero project) started life in 2016 as part of our work we created exhibitions including the famous 50

and the geordie heroes for the home office.

In 2019 we changed our name to TH!NK FC to recognise our focus on sharing the thinking tools that we have been developing.

Here are some of the things we have done to date.

Kickstart 3 - Finished in June 2022

Kickstart 4 - Finished in August 2022

OUR "50" EXHIBITIONS

It all started with the famous 50 in Coalville. We wanted to bring the community together and the famous 50 story helped to do this. Connecting with 50 different groups and organisations and celebrate our local heroes. This lead to 2 further "50" exhibitions, including Geordie heroes up in Newcastle and the Fantastic Females. What will be next?

FAMOUS FIFTY

The FAMOUS FIFTY were specially selected volunteers from the Coalville area of Leicestershire who went to fight on the Western Front in 1914.

Due to their mining background many of the men became tunnellers, but only 22 ever returned home.

Life-size wooden soldiers representing the 50 men who fought in World War One were decorated by the Coalville community and put on display in their home town.

FANTASTIC 50 FEMALES

The FANTASTIC FEMALES were chosen by 50 individuals and organisations in the area – selected for a variety of reasons from the impact they had on their own community, to the difference they have made in the world or in a particular field.

Using a life-size cut-out, each group created a piece of artwork which commemorates their chosen female. Each exhibit is different and represents the creativity of the group making it.

Famous Fifty Exhibition 2017

Started in Coalville, had trips to Cardiff, Moira, Yorkshire, Ashby, Hinckley and Market Bosworth,  amongst others...ended in 2021 when they were officially disbanded.

Fantastic Females Exhibition 2018

Started in Coalville they have been on display in a coop and have been part of Central England International Women's Day events since 2018. In 2022 they came back to Coalville for one more trip!

Geordie Heroes Exhibition 2018

As part of the Home Office Building Stronger Britain Initiative, the Hero Project were commissions to create an exhibition in Tyneside. Today some of them are still on display in the area in numerous locations.
